Good for learning
Touch-sensitive keys respond to how hard you play, which helps develop dynamics. Built-in lessons break songs into small steps and give feedback, and the accompaniment styles make simple chords sound like a full band — great motivation for beginners and children.
Limitations for piano students
61 unweighted keys are fine for a start, but students taking classical lessons will soon need 88 weighted keys. If that's the plan from day one, consider a digital piano such as the Yamaha P-145.
Verdict
An excellent, inexpensive keyboard for beginners, families and hobbyists who want lots of sounds and play-along fun.
